Tribute to Jarmila Novotná

After success of the concert called Tribute to Jarmila Novotná in 2015 we have initiated in the cooperation with the International Music Festival Prague Spring, we coorganized it also in 2016.

At the concert with the same title held within the 71st year of the festival performed this year’s debutante of the Teatro alla Scala and the famous soprano, Martina Janková. The famous pianist Gérard Wyss provided the accompaniment to this renowned singer who sang a repertoire – songs by Leoš Janáček, Johannes Brahms, Manuel de Falla, Joseph Canteloube, Ottorino Respighi, and also selection of Swiss folk songs – that reminded us of Jarmila Novotná.

This Martina Janková’s recital was held on May 20, 2016, in Dvořák Hall of Rudolfinum in Prague. Before and during the intermission of the concert we organized small event for supporters of the Jarmila Novotná Festival.
