Interpretation Courses in Liteň 2019

The 6th year of the Interpretation Courses in Liteň 2019 was a unique connection of the cooperation between sopranist Martina Janková and first-class pianists Gérard Wyss and Ivo Kahánek.

At the International Song Academy of Jarmila Novotná Festival, Martina Janková offered her long-standing experience from world opera stages together with her brilliant lecturer skills. In adition, both pianists will arange lessons of song literature for piano. Gérard Wyss focused on teaching French and German music and Ivo Kahánek focused on Czech, Slovakian, Polish and Russian repertory.

Both courses were aimed for art school graduates and professional young opera singers and pianists. The events were held between 14–20 September, 2019 at the chateau grounds in Liteň. For the very first time, course absolvents got a chance to join two public performances which were traditionally on the last day of the courses at the final concert in Liteň on Thursday, September 19, 2019 and additionally on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Gala Concert of the Jarmila Novotná Festival 2019 in the Suk Hall in Rudolfinum, Prague.
