The open-air concert “The Touch of Love” was an open-air scenic concert that we produced with the Opera Studio of the Slovak National Theatre as part of a unique collaboration at the Jarmila’s Novotná Festival Interpretation Courses in Liteň. The singers performed beautiful arias of early romantism, which were performed in scenic images depicting love in various forms. The theme of the concert was inspired by the verses of W. Shakespeare’s Sonnets.

The concert took place in the Chateau Liteň park on Saturday 18^th of June at 6 pm.

About Interpretation Courses in Liteň 2022
In mid-June, the Chateau complex came to life with the singing of young professionals who, as every year, came to study at the Interpretation Courses in Liteň. This year again they took place under the direction of first-class singers, the famous Dutch singer and mentor Margreet Honig and Czech soprano Simona Houda Šaturová. The women’s duo were joined by opera stage director Marek Mokoš. The courses were also exceptional in terms of exclusive cooperation with the Opera Studio of the Slovak National Theatre. At the end of the courses, we organized the open-air concert The Touch of Love, that took place in the Chateau Liteň Park.

This year’s singing courses were held in cooperation with the Slovak Institute in Prague.
